Ealing Foodbank

The FOODBANK is a project founded by local Churches and community groups (170+ referral agencies) and a team of 150 volunteers, working together towards stopping hunger in the London Borough of Ealing. The first local Foodbank centre/cafe was established in Acton (October 2013).

In the Southall area, the Ealing Foodbank steering core group started its meetings in the Autumn of 2013, had very strong ecumenical roots and was developed by a number of Christian denominations, eg. Anglican, Catholic, Baptist, Methodist and United Reformed, just to mention a few. Thanks to this fruitful community collaboration, the Southall Cafe opened its doors on 27th March 2014 at St Anselm’s.
